Selios ("Selios," "we," "us") is a daily divination and self-reflection companion. Privacy is our
core promise, not an afterthought. This policy explains what we do — and mostly don't — do
with your information.
The short version: your readings, questions, and journal are stored
on your device. We don't sell your data, we don't use it to train AI models, and we run no
advertising. The only information our servers hold is what's needed to run your account and your
subscription.
1. Information stored on your device (not on our servers)
By design, the content of your experience stays local to your phone or browser:
Your journal entries, saved readings, and the questions you ask
Your profile details used for readings (name, birth date, birth time/place, partner details for compatibility)
Your streaks, preferences, and app settings
This information is kept in your device's local storage. It is not transmitted to us, and we cannot read
it. You can export or erase it at any time from Settings.
2. Information we do process
Account: your email address, used to sign you in and secure your account.
Subscription status: whether you're on Free, Plus, or Premium. Payments are handled
by the app stores (Apple/Google) or by Stripe on the web — we receive only your entitlement status and a
billing reference, never your full card number.
AI companion messages (Plus): when you chat with the Selios guide, your message is
sent to our AI provider to generate a response. It is processed to answer you and is not used to train
models. Free-tier guidance may run on a self-hosted or on-device model.
Diagnostics: minimal, aggregate, non-identifying operational logs (e.g. error counts)
to keep the service running. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
3. What we never do
We never sell or rent your personal information.
We never use your journal or questions to train AI models.
We show no ads and use no third-party ad or tracking networks.
4. Service providers
We rely on a small set of providers strictly to operate Selios: hosting and email delivery, payment
processing (Apple, Google, Stripe), and an AI model provider for the companion. Each receives only the
minimum needed for its function and is bound to protect it.
5. Your choices and rights
Access & export: export a full copy of your on-device data from Settings.
Deletion: erase your on-device data from Settings; email us to close your account and
delete server-side account records.
Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights to access,
correct, or delete personal data. Contact us and we'll honor applicable requests.
6. Data retention
On-device data persists until you delete it or remove the app. Account and subscription records are kept
while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for legal, tax, and
fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Children
Selios is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and reasonable safeguards. No method of storage or transmission is
perfectly secure, but keeping your most sensitive content on your device — rather than on our servers — is
itself the strongest protection.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; we'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
